This lovely square salad bowl is part of the gorgeous Blue Italian Series by Spode. The bowl is made from stunning blue and white porcelain, a material first manufactured in England in 1816 where it was adorned with various motifs of the Italian countryside. The border of the pieces came to take on an Imari Oriental pattern as an elegant border for the artistic renderings within. The entire Blue Italian collection includes all manner of porcelain pieces such as plates, bowls, cups and serving dishes — everything you need to create a beautiful table setting for nearly any occasion.
